Share what you know, make room for people learning, and leave the water better than you found it.

Protect the place

Name the water or a published reach. Do not post coordinates, directions to a small run, private access details or photographs that expose a sensitive spot. We strip photograph metadata, but a recognizable landmark can still reveal a location.

Respect the people

Disagree with advice without attacking the person. Harassment, slurs, threats and sharing someone’s private information are not welcome. Do not pretend to be another person or manufacture reports.

Say what you observed

Date your reports accurately. Mark guesses as guesses, and correct mistakes when you notice them. Report counts describe contributions; they do not establish catch rates or guarantee that a fly will work.

Respect fish and access

Check the official regulations and current closures before each trip. A community summary is not permission to fish or to enter private land. Avoid encouraging harmful handling or exposing vulnerable fish.

Post what you have permission to share

Use your own words and photographs, or get permission. Ask before posting recognizable pictures of other people. Disclose a business connection when recommending a product, service or event. No unsolicited sales posts.

Moderation and appeals

Use the report control when something needs review. Moderators may hide content or suspend an account. Sensitive location reports can be hidden promptly by trusted members while they are reviewed. You can ask for a decision to be reviewed through help and contact.
